The beautifully designed residences are over 1000 square feet and have two bedrooms, two ensuite bathrooms, A/C, a private balcony with hanging chair baskets, a fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, lightning-fast WiFi, and a surfboard quiver. They sleep 4-6 guests and include daily breakfast and one fitness class daily. The closets are well-stocked with beach towels and beach bags.

The Tropical Garden Residences has a patio with table, grill, barrel sauna, and cold plunge.

The only difference between the residences is with bedding configurations. The Grand Residences have one king and one queen bed. The Family Residences have one king bed and one queen below and a twin loft bed above in the second bedroom. The Family Double Residences have two queens and a queen bed with the loft above it in the second room (this category sleeps the most people). The Tropical Garden Residences have one king bed and one queen in the second bedroom, but enjoy a larger garden patio with a table, barbecue, hanging chair baskets, and the added benefit of the barrel sauna and cold plunge.

1 Penthouse

The penthouse has four bedrooms with two king beds, two full beds, and a nice central living area.

The Premium Room has the option of either a king or double queen configuration. Premium rooms have a work desk, table and chairs, and either an outdoor terrace with an outdoor shower or vaulted ceilings with an outdoor balcony. Amenities include a balcony, air-conditioning, WiFi, room service, safe, mini bar, coffee maker, and hairdryer.  Surfboard locker and storage rack are included to store your gear.

Premium Plus Rooms

The Gilded Iguana Premium Plus King Room

The Premium Plus King Rooms are located on the upper level with vaulted ceilings, a spacious bathroom, and vaulted ceilings. These rooms can either feature a king bed or two queen size beds. A surfboard locker and storage rack are also included.

Surfer Suite

The Surfer Suite has two rooms – ideal for groups or families! The main bedroom has one queen bed and two sets of bunk beds with two single beds on each (for a total of four single beds).  There are also closets and a storage area. The second room in the Surfer Suite has a living space with a table and chairs. The room also has an outdoor terrace! The bathroom has two toilet rooms, a large shower, and double sinks. With easy access to the pool, Jacuzzi, and restaurant – the Surfer Suite is one of the most popular rooms! Corteza Villa

The Corteza Villa is located on an end unit on the lower terraces of the Hotel Punta Islita property. The Corteza has two bedrooms with private bathrooms. It has plenty of space in the dining and sitting area as well as the kitchen. There is also an additional half bath. The Villa Corteza showcases an outdoor deck with ocean views and a shaded terrace with a plunge pool.

Playa 1 Villa

The Playa Villas are located closest to the beach and offer convenient access to the Los Cocos Beach Club.  The Playa 1 Villa has two bedrooms with private bathrooms, a guest bathroom, a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining and sitting room, and an outdoor terrace with a plunge pool and Jacuzzi.

Playa 2 Villa

The Playa Villas are just a quick stroll to Islita Beach and offer easy access to Los Cocos Beach Club. The Playa 2 Villa has two bedrooms with private bathrooms, a guest bathroom, a dining and sitting room, a fully-equipped kitchen, and an outdoor terrace with a plunge pool surrounded by gardens.

Guanacaste Villa

The Guanacaste Villa is located on the two lower terraces within the Punta Islita Hotel property. It has two bedrooms with their own private bathrooms that bookend the common sitting and dining room, kitchen, and additional half-bathroom. Outdoors, there is a covered terrace and plunge pool surrounded by a tropical garden landscape.

Higueron Villa

The Higueron Villa has two bedrooms, each with its own private bathrooms on either side of the common living and dining space. It has a full kitchen and an additional half-bathroom. A shaded terrace, plunge pool, spacious gardens, and incredible views are highlights of the Higueron Villa.

Jacaranda Villa

Situated in the heart of the Punta Islita property, the Jacaranda Villa has two bedrooms in the main house with private bathrooms and ocean views. The living space between the bedrooms has a dining and living room, kitchen, and half=bath. The Jacaranda is an end unit with a separate casita with a king-size bed, spacious bathroom, and mountain and ocean views. Outdoors, there is an oval-shaped pool and covered patio with a barbecue for relaxing between the main house and the casita.

Laurel Villa

The Laurel Villa two bedrooms with private bathrooms and an open floor plan common space that includes a dining and sitting space, kitchen, and half-bath. Just off the common area is a shaded terrace, private plunge pool, and spacious gardens with lounge chairs.

Malinche Villa

Set on the two lower terraces of the Punta Islita Hotel, the Malinche Villa has two bedrooms with private baths on either side of the common space. The open floor plan common area includes a kitchen, living and dining space, and half bathroom. A plunge pool, shaded deck, and spacious gardens are accessible right off the living space.

Tamarindo Villa

The Tamarindo Villa has two bedrooms with private bathrooms on either side of the kitchen, dining and sitting space, and an additional half-bath. Outside, there is a shaded terrace, plunge pool, and tropical gardens.

Punta Islita has 9 different three-bedroom villa options. Each has three bedrooms with private bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, sitting and ding spaces, a half guest bathroom, and all the comforts of a private beach home. The three-bedroom villas have access to all the hotel’s services and facilities. They all have private plunge pools with surrounded gardens and lounge terraces.

Almendros Villa

The Almendros Vill has al-fresco common spaces shaded by a Palapa thatched roof. Floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows display fantastic views of the cove from the kitchen and common space. Whimsical tropical-abstract bathroom tiling is detailed by the Costa Rican artist and Islita Contemporary Art Museum Director, Loida Pretiz.

Amapola Villa

The Amapola Villa are located closer to the ocean. Outdoor features of Amapola include landscaped gardens, twin hammocks, a pergola, and a second-story terrace. The villa has partial ocean views offset by the sound of the ocean. The bathrooms have private sun-lit patios and wooden countertops with top-of-the-line fixtures.

AZ Villa

The AZ Villa is L-shaped with warm hardwood floors and stone-carved sinks, steep-angled ceilings, and a large soaking tub. All of the bedrooms open up to a large thatched-roof corridor that trims private gardens and the swimming pool. A spacious balcony patio is surrounded by tropical forest and open-air entertaining space.

Cedros Villa

The secluded Cedros Villa showcases an infinity pool with a neighboring palm-thatched terrace for lounging. In the common area is a kitchen and living space with comfortable rattan furnishings. The sleeping quarters are situated at the far end of the villa along a long brightly-decorated corridor with tropical textile art.

Colibri Villa

The Colibri Villa has spacious common areas that include a dining area for eight, a living room, and an al-fresco thatched Palapa terrace. Enjoy views of the ocean and Islita’s signature islet from the infinity pool. Luxury details like granite countertops and the bamboo ceilings add to the Colibri Villa’s charm. It may be rented as a three or a four-bedroom villa.

Estrella Villa

The Estrella Villa enjoys unspoiled views from converging glass walls in the common spaces. An open-floor layout combines the dining area, living room, and kitchen. The master bathroom features a private outdoor shower deck. The outdoor gardens include a plunge pool, pergola with hammocks and raised Jalapa, and a covered turret. The Estrella Villa has direct access to the road to Samara.

Ilan Ilan Villa

The Ilan Ilan Villa has three bedrooms with their own private bathrooms connected by a living area and kitchen. Outside, there a pool with a spacious covered thatched palm lounge space with 180-degree views of the ocean and forest.

The open-air restaurant at the Harmony seats 40 guests in a stylish but casual atmosphere that draws upon 70’s surf culture, Brazilian Modernism, and old school tropical resorts. The restaurant serves organic fare whenever possible. The latest addition to Harmony dining is a new sushi bar! The Harmony Juice Bar is also favorite – and much of the produce used at the Juice Bar is produced on Harmony Hotel’s own farm, which they started in 2009 on a simple half-acre of land. Using traditional methods, all of the produced foodstuffs are planted, cared for, and harvested all by hand.

Harmony Hotel guest rooms sit on a path that meanders through a tropical garden and ends nearby the Pacific Ocean. Both villas have private entrances as well as a private path to the beach. Each villa, separated by an exterior privacy wall, has a master bedroom and two connected guest bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathrooms. Both villas have a separate dining room, living space, and a central double-height kitchen. The living space opens out onto a covered terrace with an open patio surrounded by a garden of native plants. The kitchens feature full-size appliances for preparing meals or booking a private chef. A large dining table is great for family gatherings. Air conditioning and ceiling fans are in all rooms. A quick walk through the gardens will bring you to Harmony’s front desk, pool, restaurant, Healing Centre, and bookshop. Villa 1 also has exclusive access to a private 2-meter deep pool.

Additionally, villa amenities include private parking, king beds with 400-thread count organic cotton sheets, an outdoor shower, free WiFi in the room and on the patios, a safe, daily a la carte breakfast at the Harmony Hotel restaurant, daily turndown, and housekeeping, one yoga class for each guest per day, and access to complimentary surfboards and bicycles.

Villa 1 Pool

Villa 1 is 2875 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The villa is L-shaped enclosing a private pool and patio. There is an additional private room with a desk and a daybed that can be converted to a small bedroom. The villa sleeps six adults (eight adults if the additional room is converted to a bedroom).

Villa 1 has a fully equipped kitchen with a stove and full-size fridge and a large dining table. There is a master bedroom with a king bed, ensuite bathroom with a shower and double vanity, seating area, and desk. There are two adjoining guest bedrooms with a connecting door, each with a king bed and a private bathroom with a shower.

Villa 1 Living Area

All rooms open onto the shared covered terrace with steps leading down to the pool patio. Villa 1 also features an outdoor shower on the patio.

Villa 2

Villa 2 Kitchen

Villa 2 is slightly smaller at 1560 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, and a private garden patio. It sleeps six adults. The fully equipped kitchen with a center island, stove, and full-size refrigerator opens out onto an outdoor covered dining area with a large table.

Villa 2 Living Area

The master bedroom has a king bed, ensuite bathroom with double vanity and shower, and a writing desk. The two adjoining guestrooms have a connecting door. Each room has a king bed and private bathroom with shower.

Villa 2 Bedroom

All rooms open onto the shared covered terrace with steps down a native garden patio complete with an outdoor shower. There is no private pool in Villa 2, but there is easy access to the Harmony Hotel pool.
