Superior Room

If you’re looking to come and go from the bar and pool easily, the Deluxe Rooms have porches open to the tropical gardens.  The Superior Rooms on the second floor have private balconies with stunning views. They contain one Queen-size bed. Junior Suites at Le Cameleon are a great spacious option, with a King-size bed plus a full-size sofa bed, as well as being conveniently close to the pool and Jacuzzi. The king of the hotel is doubtlessly the Le Cameleon Suite on the second floor, with an extra half-bedroom, ceiling fans, a second television, and a bathtub with a view out into the gardens.

Cacao Honeymoon Suite

The bungalows include the Cacao Honeymoon Suite, Kuakua Honeymoon Suite, One-Bedroom Bungalow, and Two-Bedroom Bungalows. There are two honeymoon bungalow options: Kuakua and Cocao. The one-bedroom bungalow options are Csaa Biriba and Casa Frutapan. The two-bedroom bungalow options are Casa Coral and Casa Magnolia.

All of the private bungalows are modern Caribbean-Victorian-style houses with recycled furniture, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. The bungalows feature ample space, a semi-open shower, a mini bar, a/c in bedrooms, fans, an amenity gift bag, and solar-powered batteries.

The five-bedroom Casa Floralia is the largest accommodation on the property. Split between two floors, this traditional Caribbean house has three rooms on the ground floor – each with two single beds and private bathrooms along with a kitchenette and lounge space. The other two bedrooms are upstairs with king beds and their own private bathrooms along with an open living area and full kitchen. The house has the capacity to accommodate 10 people  – an ideal escape for large groups! It’s also possible to rent the upstairs alone – as a two-bedroom bungalow.

Additionally, the villas include a cool plunge pool and balcony on both the first and second levels. The Villa Banana Verde can accommodate up to four people, as the living room includes a sofa bed.

Ocean Rooms

The Ocean Rooms are located on the top floor with spacious adjoining deck and side views of the beach, hammock, and hardwood furniture. The Ocean Rooms have a queen bed with the option of adding a twin bed.

Sloth Caribbean Rooms

There are two Sloth Caribbean Cabinas separated from the main building on the 2nd floor with partial ocean views. The rooms are newly refurbished in a Caribbean Beach Cottage style with a private deck overlooking the ocean and gardens. The rooms have WiFi, A/C, hammocks, and a queen bed.

Howler Suite

The Howler Suite is a corner room with the best sea-view and wrap-around deck, closest to the beach – fantastic for honeymooners! Room features include a King-size bed, cable TV, and bathroom with tub for two overlooking the beach.

Tree House Apartment

The 700 square foot Tree House Apartment, originally built as the owner’s home, is a fully-furnished two-bedroom apartment tucked up in the trees. The apartment features jungle and some ocean views, a full open-air kitchen, and a great room, with cable TV in bedrooms.

Tropical Bath Standard

Situated on the main level between the reception and restaurant, the Tropical Bath Standard room has a bedroom that connects to a separate private garden bath space with an enclosed patio, a two-person bathtub, and an outside shower.

Frog Suites

The Green Frog and Crystal Frog suites are the newest room additions at Banana Azul. The new suites include a private plunge pool, deluxe bathroom with rain shower, cable TV, air-conditioning, and private gardens.

Costa Rica Tree House Lodge Rooms

The Tree House Lodge consists of several individual houses that have been entirely built of sustainable woods, obtained out of fallen trees.

Beach House

The Beach House is the closest to the beach and features views of the ocean. This split-level building is best for families and has a master bedroom on the top floor and an open-air living area containing a double bed, a single bed, a sitting area, and a kitchen on the downstairs.

Beach Suite

The Beach Suite includes 3 bedrooms, a wide living room connected to the kitchen and an 800 square foot spectacular doomed bathroom. There is direct access to the beach from the front of the property.

Tree House

The Tree House combines simplicity with getting back to nature. Perfect for a family (though couples will love the romantic ambiance!), it’s a split-level building with a wooden suspension bridge that leads to the front door. The upstairs contains the master suite with a double king-size bed, while the downstairs has a double bed and a single bed, along with a kitchen.

Garden House

The Garden House is perfect for a family or two couples, with a King-size bed in one bedroom and a Queen-size bed in the other. Only 150 meters from the beach, the well-equipped kitchen, and outdoor hot tub are sure to please!
